Support Housing Stability in Washington

Your Gift = Homeownership Stability for Thousands

Since 1995, we have been Washington state’s trusted homeownership hub. This work is only possible with your support. Without it, our capacity to serve Washington households could drop dramatically, leaving thousands without the trusted help they need to stay in their homes or find a path to homeownership.

Every dollar you give provides personalized guidance, education, and advocacy to open the door to homeownership.

Your support makes a direct impact—because foreclosure prevention is homelessness prevention, and expanding access is how we build lasting change.

Your Tax-Deductible Gift Makes a Difference

WHRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and operates the state’s official homeownership hotline. Your donation directly helps Washingtonians stay in their homes and achieve their homeownership goals.

Just $30 can help a Washington household access vital, personalized education and resources to achieve homeownership or avoid foreclosure.

Why Your Support Matters Now

Since 1995, WHRC has helped over 140,000 Washingtonians with free information and referral services tailored to each household:

  • First-time homebuyers seeking education and guidance
  • Families facing foreclosure due to job loss or financial hardship
  • Seniors needing home repair assistance to safely age in place
  • Communities historically excluded from homeownership opportunities

The average mortgage payment for homeowners we help is $1,100 – far less than Washington’s average rent of $1,786. Preventing foreclosure is preventing homelessness.
